Nvidia is close to finalizing a USD 30,000,000,000 investment in OpenAI, replacing a previously announced long term commitment valued at USD 100,000,000,000. That earlier arrangement had been described as a letter of intent between the two companies last year.
According to sources cited by the Financial Times, Nvidia, currently the world’s most valuable publicly traded company by market capitalization, is in the final stages of negotiations. The agreement is expected to be completed early by the end of this week.
The new investment forms part of a broader funding round projected to exceed USD 100,000,000,000. The round could raise OpenAI’s valuation to approximately USD 730,000,000,000, excluding the new capital being raised.
